WE CAREFULLY SELECT OUR INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR SITTERS THROUGH A MULTI-STEP PROCESS
Nothing is more important to you than your children. We feel the same way. That is why we are very careful about how we choose the contractor sitters with whom we work. Here is what we do.
To get an interview with Resort Sitters, an applicant must be an experienced babysitter with at least three child care references. Applicants must have passed a CPR certification exam and be at least 21 years old. Each applicant is interviewed by one of the Resort Sitters owners. After the interview, that owner contacts each reference. If we are happy with the interview and reference checks, we run a national identity and criminal background check through InfoCubic. For international applicants, we review the background check required for the applicant’s visa application.
Who Are Our Sitters?
Our contractor sitters are a diverse group of child care providers. They range in age from 21 to 60+. The majority of sitters are between the ages of 25 and 35. Most of the sitters are female, but we often have some males in our group as well. You choose the gender of the sitter for your family. Our group of contractor sitters typically includes school teachers, nursery and day care staff, nurses, EMTs, ski/snowboard instructors, ski patrollers, sisters, brothers, mothers and grandmothers.

What Will I Know About My Sitter?
To start, you will have the confidence that your sitter has been carefully selected and meets our requirements. Then when your appointment is staffed, we will send you a detailed email confirmation that includes your sitter’s name, a summary of their childcare background and a photo. Lastly, a day or two before the appointment, your sitter will contact you by phone or email for a personal introduction and to discuss a childcare plan.
It’s our job to make you completely comfortable with your child care choice. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about how we choose our sitters and select a particular sitter for your family.
